It is not essential to remember the entire list with the exact odds of each draw occurring.
It is more practical to have a rough idea of the odds for each hand involved, especially the main ones.
We have highlighted the odds when you hold an open ended straight draw and the odds of making your flush draw as these draws are the most common ones.
You don’t need to know that the exact odds of completing the straight draw are 32% and 35% for a flush draw. You can just commit to memory that you will complete both of these draws about one third of the time with the turn and river still to come.
There are a few examples of monster draws.
These include a straight flush draw, a flush draw with two over cards, and an open-ended straight draw with two over cards.
All of these draws have more than a 1 to 1 chance (or 50% probability) of hitting by the river.
If you were to flop one of these monster draws, it is quite likely that you are actually ahead of most made hands although you are only holding a draw.
With the high number of outs that can win the pot for you, you should play these draws very aggressively and be willing to get your entire stack into the middle on the flop!
It may be a good idea to print this chart out to use while you are playing online Hold Em on the internet.
That way, you can use it as a quick reference and begin to commit the poker odds to memory as you play the game. By putting these odds to use in real scenarios, you will be able to memorize them while enjoying the game!
