Texas Hold Em Rush Poker Strategy

Full Tilt Poker has recently unleashed one of the most exciting innovations in poker – Rush Poker!

We have decided to be one of the first to discuss Texas Hold Em Rush Poker strategy in order to help our players maximize their winnings with this great new game.

What is Rush Poker?

In short, Rush Poker is Texas Hold Em on crack.  Rush Poker is “The World’s Fastest Poker Game”.

The innovation behind Rush Poker is that as soon as you fold, you are moved to another new table with new players, meaning that there is no wait time between hands.  You no longer have to wait on other people to make decisions while you watch.

Once you are finished with the hand, you are instantly put right back in the action.  This keeps you in the game and with the huge amount of hands that you get to play; you can get a lot of practice and are never bored at the poker table.

What is the best Rush Poker Stategy?

Given the option to use the “quick fold” button and move on to a new hand instantly, the most obvious change in play will be that there are less trash hands being played out of boredom.

In addition, since you are at a new table every hand is with new players, there is even less likelihood that someone will be playing a trash hand to try to exploit a read or make a move on another player.

The other thing to keep in mind is that since you are at a new table, you will not have any reads on the other players, and they will not have any reads on you.  These factors become increasingly important in discussing the most profitable Rush Poker strategy.

So should Rush Poker strategy just be straightforward ABC poker strategy?  The answer is yes and no.

We recommend really tightening up in the early and middle positions at Rush Poker as there is no sense in playing marginal hands out of position since you can fold and get a new hand instantly.  Conversely, we recommend loosening up your playing range even more in late position.

Since you are at a new table, the players at the table won’t have a history on you and therefore they don’t know that you have raised in late position for the last ten hands in a row!

Also, the quick fold button means that the small blind is likely to have folded instead of waiting around meaning that there is only the big blind that you need to convince to get out the hand.  These factors make playing loose, aggressive poker in late position very profitable.

Keep in mind that a raise from early or middle position means that the raiser most likely has a strong hand.  In Rush Poker, it is easier to put an early or middle position raiser on a strong hand than in normal poker.

This is because, in Rush Poker, not a lot of people are going to raise 86 in early position to throw off the other players at the table as this isn’t profitable in the long run.

In Rush Poker, there is no history and there is no sense playing extra trash hands in order to trap your opponents with AA later in the game.  There is very little benefit in trying to confuse opponents and this is why you should generally stick to an ABC style of poker.

Keep in mind that most other players will also be playing ABC poker also.  This is why you need to play extra loose in late position in order to take advantage of the ABC poker being played.

It makes sense to hang around in late position with low suited connectors in order to catch your early or mid-position raiser who is holding a big hand and try to bust him for all his chips when you connect.

Rush Poker is taking the poker world by storm and rightfully so.  It is full of action and you are always making decisions.

It takes the best parts of poker and eliminates the worst – which is waiting for the next hand to be dealt.  Rush Poker is fun and fast, the way poker should be played.

Texas Hold Em Rush Poker strategy should be normal poker strategy for the most of it.  However, the best way to approach this game and the new format is to tweak the normal ABC poker strategy to the extreme.

Normally, you should play tight in early position, so now you should play tighter.  ABC poker advises loosening up and being more aggressive in late position, for Rush Poker, you want to play even looser and more aggressively in late position.

Your opponents change and won’t know how tight you are out-of-position and how loose you are in late position, so there is no need to do otherwise.

In poker, position is king.  Correct Rush Poker strategy now means that position is God!
